We bought our plane tickets.
Can you believe it?!?! We leave January 21st, 2017.
Nathan and I can't believe we are actually going! If plane tickets don't make it for real, what does?! We are so thankful for our friends, family, and church for helping us get this far! Right now we have $2200 per month (and hoping to get to $3000) and over $11,000 in one-time donations! We have seen people near and far give to our mission and join our team. We'd love if you would consider it too!
We applied for our visas.

Can't believe this either. The visa process was, well, interesting to say the least. It requires a lot of paperwork, in which you panic at answering every question in the exact way they want it! After you complete all that, you have to make sure you have passport photos, your passport, marriage license, visa fee...on and on! Since we currently live in Florida, we traveled to Miami to go to the Italian consulate, with all our documents! We were unable to get our visa application turned in there due to a paper that wasn't quite what they were looking for. BUT we got it all straightened out and sent in yesterday! (12/14/16) Please pray that everything goes well!!!!
We are ready.
As each day passes, our departure date gets closer. Duhh Ashley. But that's scary! Nathan and I have been preparing for this mission for a few months now. I feel like we are huddled up with each other and our Christian family, just like a football team does before the big game. (Who am I?! I'm making a football analogy...). We've been doing that for a long time. Minus our short(er) mission trips, we've spend many hours with people like ourselves at church and school. But it's time to stop preparing for the game. We have to play. It is time for the line of scrimmage. I think a lot of people should be able to relate. Jesus didn't call us to huddle. He called us to play, to share the Word with people. All people. Everywhere. We should be spending more time on the line than in the huddle. Nathan and I are ready. You can be too!!!
Don't forget, everyone needs Jesus.
Ciao,
Ashley
